Dorette Gonschorek has been working for the music publisher and label ROOF Music in Bochum for 18 years, whose other business areas are booking, audio books, management and literature management. Dorette is responsible for all aspects of publishing, from copyright management, licensing and contracting to A&R and artist support. The publishing catalog ranges from indie and pop to rap and jazz to music cabaret. Represented authors are e.g. Helge Schneider and Götz Alsmann. The publishing house is a full member of GEMA, and since 2021 Dorette has been co-speaker of the specialist group "Music Publishers in VUT". In addition to her work for ROOF Music, she is the managing director of PopBoard NRW, which was founded in 2021, and volunteers her time to strengthen the local and regional pop music scene at the non-profit association Musikbüro Bochum.
