Markus Graf

Markus Graf, born in 1970, has been chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate Rock & Pop Association (LAG) since 1996 and is managing director of the Rhineland-Palatinate Competence Center for Popular Music, an institution funded by the state of Rhineland-Palatinate that provides sustainable and needs-based support for young musicians and music groups in the field of popular music culture.

Since 2005, Graf has been a member of the presidium of the Rhineland-Palatinate Music Council, where he is active in the administration and finance committee. Currently, Graf is vice president of the Landesmusikrat. Since 2006, he has been project manager of the renowned international Lahnstein Blues Festival. In 2014, Graf was elected to the board of the Bundesverband Popularmusik e.V. (BV POP) and is currently vice-chairman.
